London: Robson Books, 1979. 1st Edition. Purple Boards. Very Good Plus/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 316pp. A lovely copy of this first edition. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine. One corner lightly bumped and a little shelf wear to the head of the spine. Upper fore edge slightly dusty. Clean and tight. Dust wrapper not price clipped. A small nik to the tail of the spine of the wrapper and slight creasing to the lower edge of the rear of the wrapper. Light shelf wear to the wrapper which remains complete - no loss. A very good copy.
Synopsis
This book by "the Good Doctor" Isaac Asimov contains his ideas and theories about the potential for life on other planets. Using logic and the methods for scientific investigation, Asimov's work in this book (originally published in 1979) is remarkably astute even for being written in days before the Hubble Telescope and our current level of knowledge about space.
