Octavo, viii, 173 pages with a title-page vignette plus 17 full-page engravings (after drawings by Francis Hayman). Contemporary full calf slightly blemished and a little rubbed and bumped; front cover slightly buckled; spine a little cracked with slight loss at the head and near the foot; early ownership details; margins of the endpapers and the first and last few leaves a little discoloured by the leather; hand-drawn armorial bookplate inexpertly removed from the front pastedown (and then mounted upside down on the rear one!); rear free endpaper excised, with slight worming to the pastedown and the margin of the last two leaves; two plates (detached at one stage) slightly frayed and sunned along the top edge; overall a very good copy.
