Provenance: Peter Foster (1919-2010), architect and painter (fmr Westminster Abbey's Surveyor of Fabric) and his wife Margaret (Hemingford Grey, Cambridge). 8vo (230 x 150 / 9"" x 6""). Lancaster journeys through parts of Europe and the Levant, as well as New York with his brilliant observations in the first half of the book; in the second half, he returns to the life of Maudie Littlehampton of Drayneflete
