Great Barrington, MA, U.S.A.: Penmaen-Busyhaus Publications, 1985 Limited to 250 copies, of which 200 are for sale, with the blocks cancelled to insure the integrity of this Limited Edition Set. This set being un-numbered, as it is the Publisher's Examination Copy. Includes two envelopes from the Publisher, containing advertising and order forms for this set. 15 folders, with an Introduction by Leonard Baskin, and a Dedication Print by Lynd Ward, [unsigned due to the death of Lynd Ward prior to the end of the project]. With 13 original self portrait woodcuts, 12 of which are signed by the artist, each in a descriptive folder. The artists are Fred Becker, Jack Coughlin, John DePol, Fritz Eichenberg, Raymond Gloeckler, James Grashow, Judith Jaidinger, Stefan Martin, Michael McCurdy, Barry Mosher, Gillian Tyler and Herbert Waters. Includes the additional suite of 13 prints [12 signed] printed on a thinner paper. The back of each plate is lightly ink stamped "Examination Copy / Not For Sale / Penmaen Busyhaus". All sit within a heavy linen covered box, with a recessed wooden maple strip, with the title carved in. Then all slips into a linen covered slipcase [sunned]. The folders, woodcut plates and box are in AS NEW CONDITION, with the slipcase in Very Good Condition [sunned]. Slipcase measures 14 inches wide by 17-1/4 inches tall. The plates measure 10-3/4 inches by 14-3/4 inches, with the images measuring 6 x 8 inches. The image displayed is of/by Fred Becker.
