The inside pages have started to age brown. There is a name written in blue ink on the front endpaper. Book is without any other marks or writings, pages are clean, and book is tight and sturdy. Very very smallish spot to the upper edge of the front endpaper. There is some bleaching like or drying out spotting to the upper front edge of the board. SIZE: 5 ½ x 8 ½ (approximately) PAGES: 273 pages Extra pictures located at the following: BACKGROUND/DESCRIPTION: Reprint edition. M. A. DONOHUE & CO. ca. 1920. Fair/Fair dust jacket condition. Book was poorly made and the quality of the paper is evident to the age browning. A very sentimental romantic women's dime novel written under the name Bertha M. Clay, a pen name used originally by Charlotte M. Brame. After her death, the name was used by numerous authors. The name Bertha M. Clay was an important and popular one in the genre. This is a very particularly scarce title. THERE ARE ONLY TWO OTHER COPIES FOUND FOR SALE ON THE INTERNET, AND THEY HAVE THE TITLE 'THAT FAIR, FALSE WOMAN.' THESE TWO OTHER COPIES ARE FROM M.A. DONOHUE WITH THE PRICE IN THE $180 - $200 RANGE. Neither copy has a dust jacket, but they both have a lady inset to the front board. COMPETITIVE PRICING!
