Dark blue cloth binding withgilt titling on the spine. Clean text; 410 pages. Some spotting/soiling to page edges; smudge on rear cover; previous-owner name on FFEP. The dustwrapper has been clipped; it shows some wrinkling at the margins; some chipping to the flaps. In an archival plastic protector. "Happiness is a big cat with a mouse on a square mile of linoleum.". First UK Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Synopsis

A Fairy Tale of New York is a novel by Irish American author J. P. Donleavy, published in 1973. The plot concerns Irish-American Cornelius Christian's return to New York after studying in Ireland. The novel was based around Donleavy's earlier work Fairy Tales of New York, a successful stage play published in 1961.
