Contemporary half crushed navy morocco over marbled boards, spine with raised bands and gilt decoration, russet morocco labels, marbled endpapers and edges. 48 steel-engraved plates including two engraved-titles. Ex libris William E. Stuart with his book-label to front pastedown. Trivial small chip to head of spine of volume 2, contents clean and crisp, generally a most excellent set.
