Rear hinge strained and a little slack. Near contemporary owner's name to blank recto of frontis. Circular ink stamp to title page. Good.. Seventh edition. Edward Stanley (1779-1849), rector of Alderley, Cheshire for 32 years, and later Bishop of Norwich. This work, first publishished in 1835, and appearing in a number of editions, contains observations on both British and foreign birds..
