Boston: Little Brown & Co, 1900. Ninth Edition. INSCRIBED "Miss Stebbins/with the kindest regards of/John Bartlett/Sept 29, 1900." Thick 8vo. xv, 1158 pp. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. Light wear to extremities; a near fine copy. Stamp of Lucy Ward Stebbins on ffep; Miss Stebbins was the daughter of Horatio Stebbins, pastor of the San Francisco First Unitarian Church and Regent for UC Berkeley. She served as Dean of Women at University of California, Berkeley from 1912 to 1942. Berkeley Student Cooperative's Stebbins Hall is named for her.
