Vernal, UT: A. B. Atwood. Good. Cabinet card depicting five young men and women. Photographer's imprint on front of card. Late 19th century. No content on verso. Photo measures 5" x 4" and card measures 6 ½" x 4 ¼". Photo is unevenly cut on left edge. Card has moderate soiling; photo has good contrast only. The photo shows two young men and three young women dressed nicely for this portrait. A young Butch Cassidy look-alike is standing to the left. The photographer of this portrait was Albert B. Atwood (1868-1926) who lived in the Vernal, Utah area from 1885 to 1907. In 1907 he moved to Hanna, Utah where he farmed and raised cattle (Uintah County Regional History Center). A relatively unknown Utah photographer; not in Mautz. University of Utah holds one image by A. B. Atwood. .
