About This Item
New York, New York, U.S.A.: E.P. Dutton & Co., Inc., 1971. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. The author draws on two solid years of in-depth interviews with participants & witnesses to the Tate-LaBianca murders, including Manson, visits to the Spahn ranch & other sites in Inyo County & Death Valley, investigations into secret occult societies, motorcycle gangs, & countercultural phenomena to place the Manson family in the context of the 1960s-1970s & attempt to explain how Charlie manipulated his followers into doing his bidding. This is a scarce FIRST EDITION, First Printing, one of the few remaining copies before the publisher & author were sued by the Process--Church of the Final Judgment for "false & defamatory material" linking Manson & his activities to the Church.
