Signed. 4to; in the publisher's blue cloth binding with pastedown of the Blues' plumed hat, and titling in silver at the spine; xx; [2]. 399 pages including the Index, with photographic frontispiece; this first edition copy has been signed by Cutchins on the half-title page. The dust jacket is present but with loss and shelf wear; it is now protected in a new mylar cover.~~"A detailed, 145 year history of a unit whose acme of service and sacrifice came in the Civil War years" [Nevins I, 77]. (Haynes 4387; Nevins I,77). Very Good binding / Good dust jacket.
