Two plates have creases and one has a short repaired marginal tear, the binding has a discoloration at the bottom of the rear board but only traces of edge wear to the boards and the paste-on. Overall, this is a near fine copy of a fragile book seldom found complete.
Fanny Young Cory (1877-1972) was an American cartoonist and illustrator, She produced covers and interior illustrations for major American magazines, began illustrating children's books in 1898, and kept up with comic work until 1956.
