New York: Harper & Row, 1964. First Edition, First Printing. So stated. Hardcover. Good+/Near Fine. 244 p. illus. (part col.) maps. 29 cm. 4to. Olive and rust colored cloths over boards, gilt spine lettering and decoration to front cover. Book Condition: Good+. Water staining to covers on the lower corner of both sides, with staining to edges also. Very little of that stain makes it onto the pages themselves and what does is on the extreme edges only. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine with salt and pepper wear to spine ends and bit of shelf wear to panels. Warmly inscribed by Mathew Huxley, and signed by Cornell Capa as well. Cornell Capa (1918 - 2008) was a Hungarian American photographer, member of Magnum Photos, photo curator, and the younger brother of photo-journalist and war photographer Robert Capa. Cornell was an ambitious photo enthusiast who founded the International Center of Photography in New York in 1974 with help from Micha Bar-Am after a stint of working for both Life magazine and Magnum Photos.
