About This Item
New York: Dodd, Mead & Co., 1987. First Printing, First Edition Thus. . Hardcover. Near Fine/Fine. A 'Max Brand' western (Faust wrote over 30 under this pseudonymn) is always a guarantee of fast, violent action and this novel is no exception. Originally published in Argosy Magazine in 1925 and for the first time in hardcover in 1927, this is a story of a stranger who throws the gunfighters out of town and then takes on the area's biggest rancher, the father of the woman he wanted to marry. A small remainder dot on the top edge of the text, o/w boards and text are clean, tight, square; dustjacket shows very minimal surface and edgewear. A fine, collectable copy.
