Pencil marginalia by Hardwicke Knight on rear endpaper: "It is marvelous what a number of people fancy they can write poetry". Some foxing and dust stains. Fading to spine and margins of boards. Minor stain to spine cloth,; viii, [2], 71, [1] pages + photographic portrait frontispiece + 16 pages advertisements. Original green buckram cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine..
