Not a scarce or sought-after volume, but an interesting provenance from the Dunedin Athenaeum and Mechanics' Institute. Dunedin Athenaeum label on front board with library hours and subscription cost. "Rules of Library" notice on front endpaper. Rubber stamp on title page. Pencil marginalia by Hardwicke Knight on rear endpaper: "It is marvelous what a number of people fancy they can write poetry". Some foxing and dust stains. Fading to spine and margins of boards. Minor stain to spine cloth,; viii, [2], 71, [1] pages + photographic portrait frontispiece + 16 pages advertisements. Original green buckram cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine.. Page dimensions: 173 x 108mm. Poetry. [Seller ref: Knightcol] ; Ex-Library; 16mo .
