Hardcover. 12mo hardcover with elaborate gilt design on front with clover leaf in center, as is on spine, tight binding, clean unmarked and unfoxed smooth-coated pages, covers have very light shelfwear to dark buckram-green cloth, unobtrusive name and stamp on front inside paste-down, else VG++ to NFINE. Fully illustrated "with new drawings", a beautiful copy that hefts well in the hand. An old German legend of mythic status in which a man makes a pack with the Devil and pays with his soul. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 360pp pages .
