A charming cookbook compiled by the member of the XI Alpha Exemplar Chapter in Washington of Beta Sigma Phi, a non-academic sorority founded in Abilene, Kansas, in 1931 by Walter W. Ross "for the social, cultural, and civic enrichment of its members." The organization started out under the name: "The National 'What to Read' Club". Each recipe is attributed to a specific member by name; they include: Maytime Coconut Cake, Iowa Butterscotch Cookies, Ham and Pineapple Deluxe, Porcupine Balls, Shrimp Mariniere, etc. Quite rare. .

At The Antiquarian Book Shop, located in Georgetown - an historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C. we have been buying, selling & appraising rare, interesting and scholarly books in Georgetown for more than 30 years. Over those many years we have taken great pleasure from satisfying our customers' eclectic literary requirements in the shop and hope to continue in that tradition now that we have moved our operation on-line.Currently, our catalogued inventory includes about 4,000 books from the sixteenth century through the twentieth century in a variety of subject areas.
