Book Condition: Very Good; light dust soiling to textblock top. DJ: Good; NOT Price Clipped; light chipping at head; closed tears to top of front panel; light soiling to panels. Wood grained boards and spine with brown lettering on the spine and front board. Laid in is a Wings for Richer Living by Louis Hlavecek brochure (1951). 198 pp 8vo. The first part of this book deals with the varied hunting experiences of the author in which he notices the decline in game birds, especially migratory waterfowl and wonders why and if they can be restored. The second part attempts to prove that by good management and practices that hunting can be enjoyed but that the sport is threatened by heavy pressure on the birds. His method is to raise and release game birds to replenish the stocks. His pleas is for a management program to support wildlife numbers. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
