Finely bound in half red shagreen, spine with 5 raised band with gilt rullers, in compartments gilt decorated with a floral pattern, gilt lettered on a red morocco label, marbled end-papers (buckram sides with some scattered very slight staining). Richly illustrated with 3 chromolithograpgical plates, 8 tinted plates and countless figures, vignettes, ornaments etc, by the leading Frenmch artist of the period. A very nice copy of an early socio-historico study of the female byAlice Hurtrel, one of the earliest female author on the subject in France
