Rectos (French) only are numbered. 458 pp. Very Good, bound in full calf, gilt title at spine faded yet legible, 5 raised bands with gilt rules, red title label, edges of boards rubbed, prior owner name front end page dated 1823, light toning to end pages, contents clean and remarkably free of toning or foxing. Written by Boccaccio in the years 1343-1345, "La Fiammette" "has been called the first psychological novel in a modern language".. First Edition Thus. Full Calf. Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
