Berkeley: Oyez, 1967. First edition, limited issue. Number 158 of 200 numbered copies SIGNED BY EVERSON. Slender quarto maroon cloth boards with spine stamped in gilt and blocked in black; illustrated with single woodcut by poet and illustrator Mary Fabilli (she and Everson were married from 1948 to 1951). This copy in the original, unprinted white dust jacket and with the original prospectus laid in. According to Everson's note in the prospectus (the text of which does not appear in the book), "IN THE FICTIVE WISH is a sequence of four poems written at Cascade Locks, Oregon, during the Spring of 1946" and "the last poetry written by me during my three and a half years under conscription in World War II." Fine in near fine dust jacket with barest wear. The prospectus, in which Everson signs himself only as "Brother Antoninus," is fine.
