No aging, soiling, foxing or any other stain. German Gothic text on verso of last panel. . Scarce Meggendorfer. WorldCat lists only 3 libraries with copies, all in the US. ABPC & RBH have records on over 500 Meggendorfers, with only two of of the German 1891 Buffalo Bill. There are 6 panels each with two separate pull down foreground sections. Panels with minor edgewear. Flaws: (1) first panel with foreground buffalo missing its tail. (2) also in first panel, tail of buffalo in background has been repaired. (3) third panel's downed horseman's foot has been reattached with scotch tape. These three flaws are small (4) fourth panel with a horseman's arm missing. A few of the internal spacers have been repaired with scotch tape, in a somewhat amateurist fashion. Scotch tape has aged a bit so likely done 10+ years ago. Panel's 1 & 2 are hunting scenes of whites and Indians, middle two of whites & Indians fighting, fifth a village of whites & Indians at peace. 6th panel of bear hunting by whites only. Each panel has 2 fold down sections. Set up is straight forward but requires care. UCLA owns a copy and I quote them: "Although Meggendorfer's name does not appear on this edition of Buffalo Bill, it does appear on the reprints, and this edition is listed in the Meggendorfer catalogue raisonne, Lothar Meggendorfer: annotiertes Werkverzeichnis (Edition Comboxx, 2012) page 57. Additionally, several 19th-century Buffalo Bill English publisher's advertisements list Buffalo Bill as a Meggendorfer work." .
