Toronto: Methodist Mission Rooms, 1884. First Edition. HB. Blue cloth ruled in black, gilt lettering on spine, 12mo, 199 pp. Frontis illustration and 10 full page plates within text. Book plate of the Missionary Society of the Methodist Church of Canada on front paste-down. Semmens (1850-1921) was a Methodist missionary who traveled extensively in Manitoba and published 4 books in the Cree language. There is minor math equations, in pencil, on the ffep, no other marks in book, binding tight and pages clean. Covers show edge wear, light chipping top and bottom of spine. Book condition VG-.
