Red grained buckram boards and spine with tarnished gilt lettering on the spine. 203 pp 8vo. In this book the author follows the progress of the Civil War n one particular locality, Jackson County, AR and the adjacent areas of White River Valley. In this setting she delivers a graphic picture of a small war within the larger war. 33 companies were raised for the Confederate Army in this county and their muster rolls are in the appendix. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
