Decorated American trade binding (signed binding - monogram AR - Amy Richards). Red cloth boards with red, black and cream decorated title box and stamped panel design on cover. Stamped cream lettering on spine (cream has disappeared, legible only as blind-stamping). Decoration and lettering on cover is crisp and unrubbed. Pinhead size spot of wear to one corner tip. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Tasteful previous owner bookplate on front fixed endpaper. Previous owner name and date on title page. Illustrations by A. B. Wenzell. 499 pages..
