Octavo, early edition, pp. 319, gray cloth boards with brown lettering to spine and front, top edge tinted maroon, frontispiece illustration. It is dated 1931, but this copy is among those reprinted in the 1940s by Burroughs' own publishing company. Condition of this book: Near fine -- jacket shows faint wear at spine ends and corners, short tear in top edge of front panel. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing. Synopsis
A Fighting Man of Mars is an Edgar Rice Burroughs science fiction novel, the seventh of his famous Barsoom series. Burroughs began writing it on February 28, 1929, and the finished story was first published in Blue Book Magazine as a six-part serial in the issues for April to September, 1930. It was later published as a complete novel by Metropolitan in May, 1931.
