Black boards with Bright Gilt titling to the spine, very clean, tight, but one bumped corner to the top front ONLY, the remaining corners are sharp. Very slight 'pushing' to the head of the spine - but NO damage. All pretty negligible. In the original publisher's purple based pictorial dustjacket. The d/j is not price-clipped and still shows the original price of £16.99. The dust-jacket is now in a protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks NEW. Clean page fore-edges, but the text block is VERY lightly, but uniformly, 'toned' as usual, due to the type of paper used - unusually this is hardly noticable. Endpapers are white-cream - printed on different paper stock. FIRST EDITION, FIRST Impression with the correct Printer's Key - 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. NO Inscriptions or Marks.
