Book Club edition in very nice condition--corners and head and tail of spine lightly bumped. No interior marks. Dusk jacket has light edge wear except head of spine which has small chip missing , creases, and short tear. Spine slightly sun tanned, The first trip from Missouri to California in a stage coach took 23 days and 23 and a half hours! John Butterfield is the man who worked like a demon and invested a fortune to accomplish this and set up the Overland Mail Company. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Illustrator: Paul Lantz.
