Text is clean and unmarked in a square, bright, and tight binding. This is by all appearances an unused volume. There is a very slight smaal ding in the bottom front edge of the binding. Unclipped glossy DJ is without creases, chips, or tears. From the front DJ flap, "As in his earlier work...Lundstrom draws from a decade of research to present a thoroughly detailed and scrupulously accurate account of naval air combat in the arduous Guadalcanal campaign. Good. Signed by the author and inscribed "to the crew of the USS Samuel Eliot Morison" on the first fly page and signed again (just the signature, no inscription) on the title page. There is no highlighting and no other writing. Bright, crisp pages and light shelf-wear to the binding, which is a bit loose at the top. Small creases and dents in the dust jacket. The edges of the pages and inner dust jacket are mildly stained/spotted from age tanning.
