Acceptable. 372 p., clean and unmarked except for name of former owner with 1900 date on front end page, in pencil; paper strong but ildly age-toned and occasionally foxed; binding firm; but gutters cracked and front matter up to frontis. detached; lovely full-page b&w ill. in the manner of Charles Dana Gibson. Dark blue boards are bumped at corners and rubbed at crown and foot of spine, but gilt lettering and elaborate decoration is still bright.

Text is clean and unmarked in a bright binding. The binding displays very minimal wear at the corners. Frontispiece included and illustrated. Part of The World Famous Books Series. Very good copy for its age.
