Discreet ownership inscription to front paste down. Book sits solid and square. Foxing to front edge of pages with text unaffected. Top edge of pages dyed gilt, front edge and bottom edge roughcut as published. Bound in the publishers original brick red buckram boards with gilt title lettering to spine. Binding and title lettering faded but interior pages very clean. Text remains sharp. Catologue of Methuen publications to rear of book. An attractive book throughout.. First Edition. Good/No Jacket.
