New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1971. First Edition. First printing Fine in dark blue cloth covered boards with bright gilt text stamping on the spine with map end sheets. In a very good+, unclipped dust jacket with light rubbing and wear to the ends of the spine area, but no chips or tears. The fourth volume in the Richard Bolitho series which takes place in 1797 . 384 pages of text. A fine bright and clean copy with no prior ownership markings of any kind.

Douglas Reeman (Alexander Kent) did convoy duty in the Atlantic, the Arctic and the North Sea. He has written over thirty novels under his own name and more than twenty bestselling historical novels featuring Richard Bolitho under the pseudonym Alexander Kent.
