About This Item

London: Collins Harvill, 1990. First edition. Cloth. Fine/Near Fine. 8.5" by 5.5". Not Stated. A wonderful first edition copy of one of Macdonald Fraser's novels within the 'Flashman Papers' series, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. First Edition. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Illustrations include four pages of illustrated maps. This is the ninth novel within George Macdonald Fraser's popular 'The Flashman Papers' series, published in 1990. This novel takes place in India, where Flashman has been dispatched by Major George Broadfoot to settle a conflict within the Punjabi court. He is forced to flee at the outbreak of the First Sikh War, but accidentally becomes involved with covert military plans. George MacDonald Fraser (1925-2008) was a British author and screenwriter. His best known seres are those that feature the character of Flashman, who was originally created by Thomas Hughes. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with no noticeable faults. Dust wrapper is also excellent, with no noticeable faults other than a very small closed tear to the front wrap, close to the front joint region. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Fine
