Smith, Elder and Co, London, 1877. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Ex-Library/No Dust Jacket. 500 g.; (7) VIII, 168 pages, last page blank . Dark brown coloured endpapers. Green coloured cloth covered boards with black illustration, of a line of hard running the full length of the front board, with gold embossed titles to the front panel and backstrip. Bumping, rubbing and noticeable fraying to the backstrip edges and book corners, the book corners show underlying board. There is a 0.5 " tear to the cloth of the top right-hand corner of the rear board. Library markings to the backstrip and the board show rubbing, handling marks and sunbathing. Bumping to some of the edges of the board. This is a ex-library copy and has the fault of the same: -- green rubber stamps through the half title page, title page, dedication page various pages throughout the text and to the rear free end paper. The front hinge has cracked and underlying webbing is visible. A selection of poetry by the 19th-century poet Alfred Domett. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
