Dean and Son Ltd, London, No date. Edition Unstated. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. Coloured illustrated frontispiece, illustrated not credited. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with black coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles and illustration to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper, artist not credited, With yellow coloured titles to the front panel and yellow and white coloured titles to the back strip. First published in 1912. There were reports, from the north coast, that there was a huge airship and a mysterious submarine, and, it was suggested that they were one in the same. Sub- Lieutenant Holmsby was sent to investigate. Softening and fading of the back strip edges; bumping of the book corners with rubbing and fading of the book edges. Tanning and foxing of the text block edges and pages. Offset tanning to the end pages and a few marks to the frontispiece verso. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and faxed corners. Tears to the dustwrapper edges, most to the top. Chipping along the fold over creases and either side of the back strip heavy rubbing of the panels. Fading of the back strip and marks to the verso.
