London: The Folio Society. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 2002. 1st Thus (Folio Society Edition); First Printing. Hardcover. One of those Wonderfully Decorated Books that the Folio Society do so well - This one quite scarce and for CHRISTMAS! In FINE original burgundy coloured, gilt decorated, cloth-covered boards, with bright gilt decorative titling to the spine and front board. The front board with added bright red and green! Beautiful!. In the original green slipcase which has a few marks from storage (hence not marking the book 'As New') but it is crisp and sharp-cornered without damage. The top edge of the book is a light purple/mauve as issued, and the remainder of the fore-edges have a very few pale flecks, which you can only see if you peer very closely, but they present as very clean and white. Internally FINE with NO INSCRIPTIONS or MARKS. 255 pages. PLUS a full page, full colour frontispiece, and 6 other full page, full colour plates, all by the very talented John Holder, all printed on glossy art paper. There are also some full page black and white plates and delightful vignette drawings in black and white, also by John Holder. 'A Collection of Seasonal Writing' selected by Geraldine Beare, featuring Christmas related prose and poetry by many of our most beloved authors old and new. A Wonderful book for Christmas or any other time of year. Now quite scarce. SEE IMAGES; Small 4to 10" - 11" tall .

All items posted by Airmail Overseas or by Standard (Second class post) in the UK unless requested otherwise. We will post abroad by whatever method you request but the standard is by Airmail.
