About This Item
Bernhardt Wall, 1943. Hardcover. Very Good Plus. Bernhardt Wall. Wall spent a number of years scouting out the places that had been important to Abraham Lincoln . From 1931 to 1942 he published a series of eighty-five volumes with eight to sixteen plates each presenting his etchings of Lincoln and the places in his life . He originally planned to print seventy - six sets of the etchings . However , it seems unlikely that he reached this number. In 1943 he put the etchings together in this volume --beautifully designed and printed . This is a unique interpretation of Lincoln and one that every collector of Lincolniana should have in the library . This isy good copy . The interior is clean , no marks except for the name of a previous owner on the first free endpaper . The hinges on the large volume are tight . All material is present , no etchings have been removed . The dust jacket shows light wear and toning to the edges but remains bright and clean . Dust jacket is protected with a mylar cover .
