Hartford: American Publishing Companty, 1897. First Edition . Decorative Cloth. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Two publishers listed on the title page, the second state. Page 161 is signed with the signature mark 11. The boards and spine are somewhat worn, especially one corner. The foot of the spine is worn. Original owner's name and year written in pencil on flyleaf. All pages are tight.
Synopsis
Following the Equator (American English title) or More Tramps Abroad (English title) is a non-fiction travelogue published by American author Mark Twain in 1897. Twain was practically bankrupt in 1894 due to a failed investment into a "revolutionary" typesetting machine.
