In the publisher's dust jacket, price clipped, wear to corners and top edge, bright illustrations, a very good example. Signed by Ohio Senator Robert A. Taft on the front free endpaper. Senator Robert A. Taft (1889 - 1953) served as a United States Senator representing Ohio from 1939 until his death. Known for his conservative stance, Taft was part of the influential Taft political family and was the elder son of William Howard Taft, the 27th President of the United States. Taft sought the republican nomination for president in 1940, 1948 and 1952, eventually losing to General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
