This book explores and describes 117 motion pictures produced from 1929 to the late 1940s which fit the criteria of independently produced, weird-menace photoplays produced outside of Hollywood's major studios during it's 'horror cycle' in the 20s and 30s. These were referred to as 'Poverty Row' productions.
