About This Item
Kuching, Malaysia: Ho Ah Chon, 1991. First edition. Paperback. Very Good. The indefatigable compiler of Sarawak history is at it again. Better known for his compilations of historic photographs, this time he turns his skills to prose. The result is a fascinating study of the momentous and fraught times leading up to Sarawak becoming a part of the Malaysia in 1963. The book is a collection of articles published in 'Sarawak Week by Week' and authored by the Sarawak Information Service. 287 pages including about a dozen pages of black and white photographs of too many men in grey suits at the beginning of the book. Weight: 0.9kg. Post free within Malaysia The cover has darkened with age. There is minor spotting on the first and last two pages of the book and on the text block. A sticker on the page opposite the preface has transferred itself onto the preface page obliterating most of the preface - thankfully! The binding is tight and the text clear with barely perceptible tanning throughout.
