Monacelli was apostolical protonothary and general vicary in the city of Potenza and in Jesi. His legal formularium had a huge success so much that it was published in different editions. The work is made up of four tomes and it is complete. The first three tomes contain the formularium for church trials, the fourth one is a posthumous supplement containing different decisiones of the Sacra Rota Romana.
