Time.. March 1935.. March 1935 complete issue of magazine, profusely illustrated in color and b/w, 184pp, folio, color pictorial paper wrappers as issued. Light wear to cover edges, small crease at lower right corner of front cover, slight slant to spine, overall very good condition. Many interesting articles include one on the International Cement Company and one on the silk industry in Japan. Striking advertisements for: Sterling Matthews cruiser, Bermuda, Ever ready batteries, World Peaceways (anti-war), Packard and other automobiles. The cover by Roger Duvoisin is of a silk worm and moth. Founded by Henry Luce (who had, with partner Briton Hadden, founded Time magazine in 1923), Luce declared of Fortune magazine that "American business has importance - even majesty - so the magazine in which we are able to interpret it will look and feel important - even majestic." .
