New York: Random House, 1937. First printing. Hardcover. vg. 8vo. ix. 281pp. Green cloth with black and green lettering in original dust wrapper. Work by renowned English poet, novelist and essayist Sir Stephen Harold Spender CBE, (1909 - 1995), who concentrated on themes of social injustice and the class struggle in his work. Age wear to dust wrappers, with browning, minor tears and creasing at edges. Minor browning throughout. Otherwise clean and tight. Very good condition.
