About This Item

Secker & Warburg, 1990. Hardback. Very Good/Very Good. English hardback reprint translated by William Weaver, 1990, with unclipped jacket. In overall near-fine used condition with only slight signs of age, handling and storage - dust jacket a touch faded to spine (now protected); boards clean and crisp. Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; light toning to page-ends but text and occasional illustrations bright and clear throughout. Photographs available. Not an old library book.

Synopsis

Foucault's Pendulum is a novel by Italian novelist and philosopher Umberto Eco. It was first published in 1988; the translation into English by William Weaver appeared a year later. Foucault's Pendulum is divided into ten segments represented by the ten Sefiroth. The novel is full of esoteric references to the Kabbalah, alchemy and conspiracy theory, so many that critic and novelist Anthony Burgess suggested that it needed an index.

About Hall of Books

We sell secondhand books and sheet music online and offer an eclectic (perhaps eccentric!) selection ranging from modern first edition hardbacks and quality paperbacks to the interesting, unusual and rare; the hard-to-find, collectable and out-of-print....and a lot more in between! We do our best to describe and photograph our books and music accurately, and to package them securely when they sell. We do not rely on stock images. If you need more information on a particular item, or if we have not yet uploaded a photograph for a particular listing, please contact us and we will respond by return.
