Shrewsbury: Adnitt & Naunton & London: Simpkin, Marshall & Co, 1877. Cloth edition with blind-stamped floral designs and gilt lettering to front (no title to spine), some wear/pushing to corners, wear/splitting to spine ends, abrasion to lower edge of front board, some strain to hinges, dust/foxing to edges, brown stains to endpapers, foxing to frontispiece plate, showing the abbey seals, and to abbey plans; 8 sepia photographs in very good condition, as are the double-page drawings of the abbeys; some foxing and handling marks within, but generally a better than average copy of this rare work. Gough's 'History of Myddle' from the same publisher, 1875 printing, cloth binding, also available.. First Edition. Hardcover. Good.
