Inscribed by Stanley Marcus, who contributed the Foreword and commissioned the edition for private distribution. Friar Bacon's wisdom, dating from the thirteenth century, is printed with illustrations from the Nuremburg Chronicle. A fascinating little book. Fine in deluxe full blue leather over boards. (2 7/8 by 2 7/8; 73x73mm).
