About This Item
Garden City, NY: Halcyon House. Very Good in Fair dust jacket. 1944. Reprint edition. Hardcover. Very Good in Fair DJ: The Book shows moderate wear to the extremities; just a bit of rubbing to the green cloth over boards; a former owner's gift inscription at the front free endpaper; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of any creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. A carefully-used reading copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing moderate wear and minor, unobtrusive imperfections. The DJ shows fairly heavy wear with small loss to chipping; a dampstain at the top of the rear panel and numerous small chips and tears; unclipped. Serviceable but has lost its attractiveness. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo (9.5 x 6.5 x1.25 inches). Liberally illustrated with duotone photographs. Language: English. Weight: 23.2 ounces. Deckle fore-edge. Handcover with DJ. Osa Johnson was, with her husband Martin, a pioneer in the field of wildlife filmmaking. The sequel to her bestselling I Married Adventure, Four Years in Paradise tells the story of the Johnson's protracted stay at Lake Paradise in Kenya. This book was first published in 1941. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 345 pages; Not Inscribed or Signed by Author. .
