About This Item

New York: Random House, 2001. This Stated First Edition (and unless it's stated, it's not) also has the complete number line for Random House, starting with a "2," which indicates a First Printing ONLY if First Edition is stated. (If the First Edition line were to be absent, the book would then be a Second Printing. Although this practice differs from most publishers, there's method to the madness if you think about it.) The book is in Fine, unread condition, with a close to Fine, unclipped dust jacket. The book has marblelized cream paper-covered boards, with a burgundy spine and die-stamped gilt spine titles. This novel about the power of second chances starts with a television jounralists whose left hand is eaten by a lion before millions of TV viewers and the repercussions. The book measures 6 3/8 by 9 1/2 inches and includes 316 pages. The dust jacket has some shelf rubbing along the edges, but is not ripped or torn. I've placed the dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
